MSN messenger for your iPhone 3G

When I got my first iPhone, probably the biggest disappointment and maybe the only disappointment with it was the lack of native support for Hotmail.

Hotmail is easily the most popular webmail available today, from what I’ve seen anyway. One of the best things about hotmail is the integration with MSN messenger or Windows Live messenger as it is official known but rarely reffered to as. The integration with hotmail probably started the downfall of ICQ.

Anyways, it would be nice if there was an official MSN messenger app available from the app store. There is an AIM messenger app so there should be a MSN one. I don’t know why there isn’t one already, there should be. I don’t think it is because Microsoft is Apple’s competitor. Microsoft isn’t a direct competitor anyway since they don’t sell hardware.

Although a real MSN app is preffered, there are some solutions that will work just fine. It works even better now that we have 3G speeds.

The first service I found is called Meebo

To get Meebo, point your iPhone’s browser to meebo.com
