Kitchen design expert Joan Kohn returns to Charlotte next month for appearances at the Southern Kitchen & Bath Show with up-to-the-minute trends and tips for design success on a budget. Her presentation of “Your Beautiful Home” will take place several times over the course of the show that runs from September 5 – 7, 2008 at the Charlotte Merchandise Mart.
“Your Beautiful Home” is an interactive presentation with topics ranging from how to select countertop materials and appliances to floor planning, lighting, making the most of your available space, surviving construction and making planet-friendly decisions – all on a budget. Kohn’s presentations will be at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2008, with book signings to follow.
Best known as the host, writer, and associate producer of “Kitchen Design” and “Bed & Bath Design” on Home & Garden Television for 12 consecutive seasons. She also has hosted nearly two dozen HGTV specials, including “The White House Christmas” and “Christmas at Biltmore Estate.”
As a nationally recognized design expert, Joan is a celebrity speaker at many home and garden shows and design centers across the country. With more than 25 years of television and other media experience, Joan's television production work has won various awards, including two Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards.
The third annual Southern Kitchen & Bath show also will feature “Jestons-like” new products for the kitchen and bath, and will have experts on hand to answer questions about remodeling as well as new construction. Margaret Vogt of the National Kitchen and Bath Association will present “Updating Your Kitchen on a Budget.”
