Whether it’s seeing a popular dance star, taking your daughter to see her favorite teen idol or just spending time with your girlfriends, there’s something for everyone needing a day to call her own at the 26th annual Southern Women’s Show at the Charlotte Merchandise Mart from September 18 – 21, 2008.

Actor Cristián de la Fuente, who performed with professional ballroom dancer Cheryl Burke last

season on the popular ABC-TV “Dancing with the Stars” reality series, will dance and sign autographs

on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 1 p.m. on the Saturn Runway/Fashion Stage.

Jason Earles, who plays Hannah Montana’s brother on the “Hannah Montana Show” on the Disney Channel will appear during Mother-Daughter Day on Sunday, September 21 at noon.

Shelley Kincaid, known as the Garage Sale Lady, will be there each day hosting workshops on turning trash to treasures. Shelley is the author of “Garage Decorator’s Bible,” and has appeared on DIY Network and Home & Garden Television (HGTV).

The perennial favorite Firefighter Fashion Show will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2008 and again at 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 20. Charlotte-based designer Tara Davis’ “Flow” line of evening wear will also be highlighted during the show.

With demonstrations on the White Lily Cooking Stage sponsored by Plaza Brand Source stage, Belk makeovers by Bobbi Brown and Benefit as well as numerous health screenings from Carolinas Medical Center, there will be something for ladies of all ages during the four days of the show.
