Ellen DeGeneres and actress Portia de Rossi are getting married this weekend in California, Usmagazine.com is reporting.
The gay couple is preparing a small, intimate ceremony with only a few friends, family members and guests.
While Portia has remained relatively quite on the subject, Ellen has been somewhat vocal about the gay wedding since existing California laws were changed earlier this year.
Following the California Supreme Court's ruling earlier this year that now allows gay couple's to marry, DeGeneres said on her daytime talk show that she intended to marry her longtime girlfriend in a small wedding ceremony when the time was right. DeGeneres and de Rossi started dating in December 2004.
"It's something that we've wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited," DeGeneres, 50, said.
DeGeneres also talked about the couple's wedding during the Daytime Emmy Awards in Hollywood a few months ago.
"I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don't all have the same rights," DeGeneres said.
"I feel like I found my perfect fit," DeGeneres said of de Rossi in an interview with the Advocate. "She's taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I've taught her," DeGeneres added.
Ellen Degeneres can be seen daily on her syndicated television talk show.
Portia de Rossi can currently be seen in the television show "Nip/Tuck", and was a staple in the cult television series "Arrested Development". Portia will also be seen in the upcoming "Arrested Development" movie due next year. It is rumored that the actress will also star in a new sitcom about an actor and an actress who marry to preserve their careers titled "Butch And Fay" due next year.
