Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center say Tropical Storm Fay may turn into Hurricane Fay.

CNN reports that a hurricane warning was issued Monday for southwestern Florida, from Flamingo to Anna Maria Island. The warning means hurricane conditions are expected within 24 hours.
"Fay's center was over Key West at about 5 p.m., the National Hurricane Center said. On Monday afternoon, Monroe County emergency officials suspended their evacuation efforts for the Florida Keys, saying it was time for everyone to stay indoors."
