A monkey was sighted early Wednesday morning in Tokyu Toyoko line at Shibuya station. The station employee alerted the police, which shortly arrived the scene.
The monkey fled the scene afterward, believed to have fled in the direction of Harajuku, a teen-town area of Tokyo.
The monkey is estimated to be about 40 centimeters tall, and is a Japanese monkey. There have been reported sightings earlier in Tokyo, and the same monkey is suspected for those sightings. There was no damage or injury from the incident, but did cause a lot of commotion and bystanders.
