Charlotte Symphony Hosts A Note-Able Fanfare

In celebration of the opening of the Charlotte Symphony season, The Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Inc. and the Charlotte Symphony present an elegant evening of music and mingling on The Green, on Saturday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m.

Benefiting The Symphony Guild and the Charlotte Symphony, A Note-able Fanfare gala will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and a sumptuous five-course dinner, followed by a live auction. Members of the Charlotte Symphony and the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform throughout the evening.

For more than half a century, the Symphony Guild has been dedicated to supporting the Charlotte Symphony and, in recent decades, the Symphony’s two youth orchestras. Proceeds from this fundraising event will, among many projects to be funded, provide scholarships to local young musicians, put a collection of instruments known as the “Musical Petting Zoo” into pre-schoolers’ hands, and underwrite a week-long music camp for youth orchestra players.

Funds will also be directed to the Symphony. Founded in 1932, the Charlotte Symphony is the largest performing arts organization in the central Carolinas, employing 64 full-time musicians. -- www.charlottesymphony.org
