Acadian Mining Intersects 6.00 Metres At Nova Scotia

Acadian Mining Corporation (ADA-TSX) is pleased to announce assay results for 75 additional drill holes, bringing the total released to date to 129 on its Getty zinc-lead deposit. Results to date support potential for a bulk tonnage - open pit deposit 1,700 metres from the mill at Scotia Mine.

Highlights include drill hole S1072 which intersected 6.00 metres of 11.22% zinc plus lead, including 2.65 metres of 22.43% zinc plus lead, Hole S1059 which intersected 17.50 metres of 3.73% zinc plus lead and hole S1057 which intersected 4.35 metres of 7.02% zinc plus lead. The shape of the zinc-lead mineralized carbonate bank structure at Getty is not as yet fully defined and, as such, true widths cannot be calculated with complete confidence.

Drill holes S1055, S1058, S1060, S1061, S1066, S1073, S1075, S1076, S1080, S1081, S1084, S1087, S1091, S1092, S1095, S1096, S1097, S1100, S1101, S1103, S1106, S1109, S1112, S1114, S1115, S1117, S1121, S1122, S1126, and S1127 intersected low-grade lead-zinc mineralization and were drilled to test the extents of the deposit. Drill holes S1056, S1064, S1088, S1119 and S1120 were abandoned in overburden or gypsum; and S1062 intersected basement Meguma directly under the overburden. The drill program included two drill holes to test interpreted paleo-topographic basement highs; 800m to the west and 200m south of the known deposit with the potential to be extensions of the mineralized carbonate bank reef complex in these directions. These two holes did not return any significant mineralization but the targets require additional investigation.

Management's Opinion

Will Felderhof, President and CEO, stated "The Getty deposit drilling results are in line with expectations and we are confident that they will support an updated resource estimate which will include resources in the measured and indicated categories. This in turn will enable the engineering staff to commence investigations with respect to development to supply mill feed to Scotia Mine."

Getty Deposit

The Getty deposit occurs within a west extension of the carbonate bank reef complex that also hosts the adjacent Scotia Mine deposits, located 1,700 metres to the east. Acadian's diamond drilling program was designed with sufficient drilling density to support a new resource estimate for the Getty deposit that is anticipated to include definition of measured and indicated resources. -- www.cnxmarketlink.com
