
The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra will present the second concert of the summer in the 2008 Lexus Summer Series, “Summertime Pops” on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 6 pm, at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. This event is alcohol-free, family friendly and FREE to the public. A rain date has been set for this concert on Sunday, August 31, 2008.
Conducted by Annapolis Symphony Orchestra 's Music Director, Jose-Luis Novo, the concert will include light favorites and pops classics. Mr. Novo says, "The program we are presenting on Labor Day is going to show that the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is in top form. We are offering our audience a chance to celebrate this festivity with stimulating music. There will be some musical hints from our upcoming season mixed with purely uplifting selections, covering many different tastes. It is going to be a fun evening for everyone."
The 2008 Lexus Summer Series concerts are generously underwritten by the Baltimore Annapolis Lexus Dealers Association. For the past several years, contributing sponsors of the series have continued their generous support, including tax-supported grants from the Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks, Maryland State Arts Council, and the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County.
