Under the terms of the three-year agreement, AT&T will provide SWBC with AT&T OPT-E-MAN® service, a switched Ethernet service that connects local area networks (LAN) within the same metropolitan area to create a consolidated communications system.
The high-bandwidth service will also support multiple business applications and promote cost-effective communications. The network will provide reliable transport and enhanced security across the converged network so that SWBC's contact center can better support its financial institution clients.
"SWBC has always invested in technology in order to meet our customers' needs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner," said Gregory Lawler, CIO, Southwest Business Corporation. "This new network will complete the unification of our locations and provide a single, converged platform, allowing us to enhance the security of our data and increase the efficiency and the quality of our customer service" - AT&T.
