TIBCO Receives Highest Score

"Elegant, Well-thought-out ESB Implementation"

TIBCO Software Inc. today announced that IDG's InfoWorld Test Center honored TIBCO BusinessWorks with an exceptional review, published on December 8, 2006. TIBCO's score of 8.5 represents the highest score to date awarded to an ESB vendor by the InfoWorld Test Center.

The review, "TIBCO Gets on the Enterprise Service Bus," awarded TIBCO BusinessWorks a rating of "Very Good," noting the product's advanced features that anticipate a wide variety of customer needs, as well as its simple installation process. InfoWorld evaluated TIBCO BusinessWorks in six key areas: Interoperability, Features, Management, Scalability, Security and Value. According to the review, "TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.3 is an elegant, well-thought-out ESB implementation with advanced performance features and an intuitive design. The TIBCO BusinessWorks platform provides the messaging and service bus infrastructure for enterprise integration and SOA-style ESB needs."

In BusinessWorks' case, a simple wizard (on Windows) pops up and asks a few configuration questions and then installs the software without further steps," wrote reviewer Andrew Binstock, senior contributing editor of the InfoWorld Test Center. "BusinessWorks 5.3 shows that the company really understands what the market is looking for. The product has a mature, intelligent feel to it, as well as a passel of features that many enterprise customers will find attractive."
