Mario Slam Basketball hits the 'net

After tennis, golf, karting, soccer and snowboarding, what's next for our sporty (but still strangely overweight) hero Mario?

After sampling basketball in EA Sports' NBA Street V3 last year, our portly plumber obviously got a taste for it because he's back this February in his very own hoop-shootin', ball-dribblin' action game: Mario Slam Basketball.

Our new microsite celebrates the game in all its brightly-coloured graphical gorgeousness; complete with profiles on all the characters and their unique skills which you'll control in-game with a few simple swipes of your stylus.

At the site you'll find info on all the playable characters with whom you can build up a winning 3-on-3 team - such as DK, Peach, Yoshi and Wario - but you can also discover which sporting stars from the Final Fantasy universe are playing away from home (the game's developed by Square-Enix, see).

But if you really want to see all that the site has to offer (and it offers a lot) then you'll need to put your own shooting and dribbling skills to the test in the online minigames. By taking part you'll earn coins with which to unlock the site's secrets.
