Thousands of anti-globalization activists gathered in Kenya's capital of Nairobi today for the annual World Social Forum.
High on the agenda of the five-day event this year are topics of particular concern to Africa, including the HIV-AIDS epidemic, conflict resolution, and debt relief.
The World Social Forum was first held in Brazil in 2001 and coincides each year with the World Economic Forum of political and business leaders in Davos, Switzerland.
