Woods to Play at Liberty National Golf Club

The Barclays is the first of four tournaments that make up the PGA Tour FedExCup playoffs. With Woods committing to play, 124 of the top 125 players on the PGA Tour will be participating in the tournament.

Woods has an impressive lead in the PGA Tour over second ranked Steve Stricker going into the FedExCup. He already has five Tour victories in 2009.

Despite Woods’ impressive résumé, this is one tournament he has never won. He will have competition at The Barclays include defending champion Vijay Singh and Phil Mickelson.

Also committed to play the course at Liberty National Golf Club is Y.E. Yang. Yang is coming off his upset victory over Woods at the PGA Championship at Hazeltime National in Minnesota

As with most golf courses, the course at Liberty National Golf Club is picturesque. But this course offers a view that the golfers will not see anywhere else, the Statue of Liberty. Located in Jersey City, NJ, the course at Liberty National is located along the waterfront of the Hudson River. It provides a breathtaking view of the Statue of Liberty and of the Manhattan skyline.

With all of its beauty, the attraction next Thursday through Sunday at Liberty National Golf Club will be the top golfers of the PGA Tour; including Tiger Woods.
