Empty hotel rooms have forced many hotels and resorts to offer not only low room rates, but some are also offering various package deals. Some of the packages include meals at restaurants. Others include some form of entertainment such as a show.
There are deals to be found at almost every beach location in the US. There are even deals for stays in Hawaii. The deals are not limited to just the sands and water though. Denali Park Resorts in Alaska is offering a special two night package deal. Remember fall comes early there.
Those that travel by car regardless how far they decide to travel this year will find gas cheaper than it was last Labor Day. The national gas price is down a dollar from last year's prices. This might be enough incentive for some to sneak away one last weekend before summer is through.
