US Open Tennis 2009 Results Del Potro Crushes Ferrero

Juan Martin Del Potro is a towering 6-foot-6 20 year. In his match on Tuesday against Juan Ferrero, Del Potro was as dominating as his stature. Going into the fourth round match, Ferrero had never lost to Del Potro. With the US Open tennis 2009 results from their match, Ferrero has now lost to Del Potro.

Del Potro defeated Ferrero in straight sets on Tuesday, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3. The win advances Del Potro into his second straight US Open quaterfinals.

Ferrero will not make it back to the US Open finals like he had done in the past.

Serving and hitting big, Del Potro controlled the court. He served 22 aces and had 44 winners. During the match, Del Potro moved himself and Ferrero where he wanted to.

With his play, Del Potro may be one of the favorites now to win the 2009 US Open. Ranked number 6, he faces another 20 year old Marin Cilic in the quarter finals. Cilic upset number 2 seed Andy Murray on Tuesday.

With only being 20 years old, Del Potro may be on the verge of the next star of the men's tennis world. When the US Open tennis 2009 results are finalized Del Potro may be on top. Of course he has to defeat Cilic first in the quarterfinals.
