US Open Tennis 2009 Results Black & Huber Comeback in Women's Doubles

When the rain started on Saturday the women's doubles semifinal match was underway. Rennae Stubbs and Samantha Stosur were leading by one set. After finishing the match on Sunday, the US Open tennis 2009 results ended up with a great comeback from Cara Black and Liezel Huber for the win.

Unlike the rainy weather on Saturday, the weather at the 2009 US Open was beautiful. The number 3 seeded team of Stubbs and Stosur had hope to finish what they started on Saturday and advance to the women's double finals on Monday.

The number 1 seeded team of Black and Huber had other plans. Black and Huber had plans to advance to their first Grand Slam final in 2009.

Stubbs and Stosur had defeated Black and Huber in their last two meetings. On Saturday it looked like it would be a third win in a row. On Sunday, Black and Huber took control of the match and won it in three sets 5-7, 6-3, 6-1.

Black and Huber will play Venus and Serena Williams for the women's double championship on Monday. This will be the first time Serena will be on the court playing after her outburst at a line judge in her lost to Kim Clijsters in the women's single semifinal Saturday night. The Williams sisters defeated Black and Huber in the semifinals at Wimbledon. They went on to beat Stubbs and Stosur for the Wimbledon title earlier this year. On Monday when the US Open tennis 2009 results for the women's doubles championship if Black and Huber are able to win their first Grand Slam title this year.
