Dlouhy and Paes were the number 4 seeded team of the 2009 US Open. They also won the French Open this year.

Paes suffered through the match with a sore shoulder. He was good enough to defeat his old teammate. Bhupathi and Paes were longtime teammates until 2000.

The US Open tennis 2009 results for Dlouhy and Paes were better than their 2008 appearance. Dlouhy and Paes lost in the 2008 to the Bryan brothers in the men's double finals.
