
Just hours after celebrating a victory over Louisville on Saturday, the University of Connecticut is now dealing with fatal UConn campus stabbing. Shortly after midnight, football player Jasper Howard was stabbed to death on campus.
A dance was being held in the Student Union Saturday night. Around 12:30am Sunday morning a fire alarm went off at the Student Union on the UConn campus.
During the rush of students leaving the building, a fight broke out. Two people were stabbed during the fight. Howard was one of the two stabbed and was pronounced died at a local hospital.
Howard, 20 years old was a junior at UConn. He was a starting cornerback for the Huskies.
During Saturday's win against Louisville, Howard's play was a factor in the victory. Howard recorded 11 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in Saturday's game.
The investigation is on-going as to what happen during the fight that end up in UConn campus stabbing of Jasper Howard. The college has informed the students that the suspects are still at-large.
