Th Philadelphia Phillies went into Monday night's game leading the National League Championship Series 2-1. They were riding the momentum of a game 3 domination over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. But during the Dodgers Phillies game 4, it took a ninth inning come from behind double to win it for the Phillies 5-4.
The Phillies took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning off of a two-run homer by Ryan Howard. The Dodgers came back in the fourth inning to tie the game 2-2.
The Dodgers then took a 3-2 lead off of a Matt Kemp home run in the fifth inning. Both the Dodgers and the Phillies added a run in the sixth for a score of 4-3.
Then came the ninth inning. It looked like the Dodgers were going to tie the best of seven series 2-2. All they needed was three outs and they would win 4-3.
With runners in scoring positions, Phillies' Jimmy Rollins stepped up to the plate. Rollins hit a double and that allowed the two base runners to score.
This gave the Phillies a 5-4 win in the Dodgers Phillies game 4. They will play game 5 on Wednesday night. If the Dodgers win, they will go back to LA to continue playing. If the Phillies win, they will go back to the World Series.
