One Lotto Texas ticketholder in Alvin, Texas is a little richer tonight. In fact, the lucky ticketholder it a lot richer. Lotto Texas officals announced that one ticket matched six numbers in the October 21st Jackpot drawing making it worth $76 million.
The winning ticket was sold at the H-E-B Supermarket at 207 E South Street in Alvin. The winning numbers were 9, 20, 27, 42, 51 and 53.
The winning ticketholder elected the cash option. This means that person will receive a lump sum amount around $48 million.
The store hit the lottery too for selling the winning ticket. H-E-B will receive around $500,000 for selling this one lottery ticket.
The store manager says they only sold about $17 of lottery tickets on Wednesday. I am sure they will be selling more tickets in the future.
This $76 million winning is the fourth largest Lotto Texas Jackpot winning total since the lottery started in 1992. The owner of the winning lottery ticket has six months to claim their prize. And oh by-the-way, I am your long lost cousin.
