Suspect in AJ Jewell's Death Released On Bond

The suspect in the Ashley "AJ" Jewell's death has posted bond and is out of jail. Frederick Richardson posted a $10,000 bond and was released from jail early Tuesday morning.

Jewell and Richardson got into a st fight in the parking lot of the Atlanta strip club, Body Tap on Oct 2nd. Jewell later died at the hospital.

It was initially believed that Jewell died of head injuries resulting from the fight. Since then Richardson was arrested for Jewell's death and was not eligible to post bond.

Preliminary results from the Jewell's autopsy indicate that sickle cell anemia may have played a factor in his death. Read more about the possible sicle cell link to Jewell's death here.

Due to this possible health issue link to Jewell's death, Richardson was allowed to post bond. He will not have to go back to court unless he is indicted. That will be determined when the full autopsy results are in and the investigation is completed.

Until then, Richardson is a free man out on bond. The full details have yet to be released regarding what happen to cause AJ Jewell's death.
