Its Elmo's World, no its Google; no its Elmo on Google. The fun, lovable little red muppet, Elmo is today's Sesame Street character on the Google doodle.

Google continues celebrating Sesame Streets' 40th anniversary with different Sesame Street character on their doodle. They will be doing this through November 10th.

Sesame Streets superstar, Elmo is today's Google doodle character. Google has already featured Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie and Oscar the Grouch on the doodle.

The happy-go-lucky, fire engine red muppet joined the Sesame Street family back in 1979. Through 1981, Elmo was known as "Little Monster."

After Kevin Clash took over performing duties for Elmo in 1985, Elmo's character grew in depth and in popularity. Elmo is now a product and marketing goldmine for Sesame Street.

Every year, products like Tickle Me Elmo and Elmo Live sell off the shelves. With his positive attitude and child-like personality, Elmo also helps educate young children.

Recently the government had Elmo help out with helping to educate kids how to properly sneeze and wash their hands to help from catch the H1N1 flu this season.

It is said that Elmo is only around three years old. This might explain why he is loved by children of all ages.

Elmo is also loved by many adults that are still young at heart. Adults can often be caught humming the theme song to Elmo's segment on Sesame Street; "Elmo's World."

Google managed to capture Elmo's famous contiguous giggle by having the letters in their doodle be giggling with Elmo. For today, Google is Elmo's World.
