
On November 30th, hotels CyberMonday deals will be offered for the first time. As millions of Americans return to work, hotels are trying to cash in on them shopping for deals online.
Retailers for years have been offering special deals on the Monday following Thanksgiving and Black Friday to cash in on the many Americans looking for holiday deals when they return to work. With the travel industry struggling with the current economy, hotels are now offering CyberMonday specials.
These CyberMonday deals are designed to book empty rooms in 2010 for the hotels. Around 60 hotels are trying the CyberMonday specials for the first time this year.
Starwoods Hotels have the most hotels and resorts that are offering the CyberMonday deals. Starwoods are offering 45% off at 50 of their hotels and resorts with their CyberMonday special.
Starwoods is giving shoppers three days starting on Monday to book their stay and take advantage of the CyberMonday deal. To be able to receive the CyberMonday deal, the reservation must be made through the Starwoods website.
The stay must also occur January 1st through April 30th 2010. With the CyberMonday deal, cancellations are nonrefundable.
A variety of Starwoods locations are among the 50 hotels involved in the CyberMonday deal. Locations such as Bahamas, Maui, San Antonio and Scottsdale are just a few. The Starwoods family of hotels and resorts include Meridan, aloft, he Luxury Collection, Westin, Four Points, element Sheratons, St Regis and the W Hotels.
Affinia Hotels is offering 15% at all of their seven hotels with their CyberMonday deal. Affinia has hotels in New York, Chicago and Washington DC.
Shoppers must go online and create or update their My Affinia profile on November 30th to take advantage of the CyberMonday deal. The stay must occur before November 30, 2010.
As a special incentive, Affinia will give a $50 American Express gift card to the first 50 people that take advantage of the CyberMonday deal. The gift cards will be delivered when these people check in.
The luxury hotel in Chicago, The James Hotel, is offering basically a buy one get one free CyberMonday deal. Consumers can purchase gift certificates and receive equal value credit in return.
Gift certificates are called James Credits at The James Hotel. The CyberMonday deal doubles the James Credits shoppers purchase on Monday.
James Credits may be used towards a stay at the hotel or in the hotel. They can pay for dinner at the restaurant or drinks at the bar.
These hotels are hoping shoppers will give themselves or someone else a vacation trip as a gift this holiday season. They are offering these CyberMonday deals to lure them to book a stay for next year. If the CyberMonday specials work for these hotels; there will be many more to choose from next year.
