TomTom's latest GPS unit is available just in time for the holiday season. The TomTom XL 335S can now be purchased through the TomTom website store for a price much lower than the initial suggested price.
When the TomTom XL 335S was announced on October 13, 2009, the suggested sale price was $239.95. On the TomTom website, the price is currently listed as $149.95. After glancing through the TomTom website, it appears they have placed several of their GPS units on sale just in time for the holidays.
The TomTom XL 335S features the 4.3 inch widescreen that the XL series has. The S also means this GPS unit has the text to speech technology built into it.
The TomTom innovative IQ Routes Technology that utilizes over 800 billion speed measurements is also one of the GPS units features. This technology allows the TomTom XL 335S to plan out the fastest route for the trip.
To assist with the navigation on challenging highways, the TomTom XL 335S has Advance Lane Guidance. This feature gives visual lane suggestions and helps with complex highway junctions.
The TomTom XL 335S has maps of all of the US and Canada. It does not have however, maps for Mexico.
It is ready to navigate straight out of the box. The TomTom has over seven million points of interests sch as restaurants, hotels and gas stations for the user to select from.
The design makes the TomTom XL 335S easy to take with the user when they leave their car. The sale price makes it easier to wrap up and give as a gift this holiday season.
