
SC 5000 Secure Consumer-Facing Payment Acceptance Solution to be Deployed in All Branches Across Russia
VeriFone Holdings, Inc. today announced that the VeriFone SC 5000 system has been selected by Multifunctional Processing Company LLC for use by Federal State Enterprise Russian Post as its approved payment solutions for all branches across the Russian Federation.
Russian Post in partnership with Moscow-based MPC has purchased 13,000 units of VeriFone's highly secure SC5000 system from INPAS, a VeriFone International Partner in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Russian Post and MPC are providing payment card acceptance and other EFT services based on payment technology in post offices across Russian Federation. MPC is a long-term partner of Russia Post.

The RoHS-compliant SC 5000 is a lightweight, ergonomic system that can be mounted or handed to customers for credit, debit, EMV or other PIN-based transactions. The PCI PED approved, space-saving system provides the flexibility of supporting EMV smart card, loyalty, and stored value transactions while readily integrating with existing POS systems - VeriFone.
