Born in Hollywood as the only son of actors Allan Jones and Irene Hervey, Jones was rated very highly by Frank Sinatra. Jones attended University High School in West Los Angeles, and studied drama and singing with the help of private instruction. As a young athlete, Jones gave up track and football sports to immerse himself completely in the study of performance art.
Jones recalls one of his most memorable experiences during high school being when friend Nancy Sinatra invited her father to sing in the school auditorium. Sinatra's performance left an unforgettable mark on Jones that helped influence and shape his career choice.
Jack Jones performs concerts around the world, and remains very popular in Las Vegas. He has not only made his mark in the world of jazz and pop, but also in the realm of cinema; he acted in films such as "The Comeback"Â and the British TV comedy "Cruise of the Gods."Â Some of Jones' best-known songs are "Impossible,"Â "Wives and Lovers,"Â "The Race is On,"Â "Lollipops and Roses,"Â "The Impossible Dream,"Â "Lady,"Â and "The Love Boat Theme."Â
