Enjoy Classical Music At McCallum Theatre

Imagine five siblings growing up together. Now, take that one step further - envision each one is a piano virtuoso, so much so, all five studied piano at the Juilliard School of Music - at the same time - a first for the prestigious school! No, it's not a fantasy - it's The 5 Browns: Desirae, Deondra, Gregory, Melody, and Ryan. Together, they are a worldwide sensation and on Tuesday, February 6, all five will grace the stage of the McCallum Theatre, with the curtain rising at 8pm.

The five brothers and sisters from Utah each started playing piano at age three. Their unique story has landed them not only at the top of the Billboard classical music charts, but also with appearances on Oprah, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, ABC's Good Morning America, NBC's Today Show, CBS's 60 Minutes, NBC's Weekend Today, ABC's The View, as well as appearing with Martha Stewart on Martha, on The Tony Danza Show and A&E's Breakfast with the Arts. They have been featured in Elle Girl, People, Time for Kids, USA Today, Cosmo Girl, Teen, Entertainment Weekly, Readers Digest, and Keyboard magazines.

Their debut album, the self-titled "The 5 Browns," wowed critics and audiences alike, and led Billboard to rank the talented quintet as one of the Top Classical Artists of 2005, with the number two Top Classical Album of the year.

The five brothers and sisters perform together, individually and in different combinations, creating a unique phenomenon in classical music that is reflected in the title of their new album, "No Boundaries." This album has spent 20 consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard's Traditional Classical chart, outpacing the rest of the titles on the chart and confirming yet again the quintet's emergence as the new champions of classical music. The 5 Browns even have an artist page on VH1.com where fans can check out concert dates, music videos, and other features that include news updates about these amazing artists.

Scott Cantrell reported in the Dallas Morning News, "The 5 Browns proved that classical music can reach teens and twentysomethings on their own ground, but without posturing or cheapening the product. Send them out to schools from shore to shore, with piano teachers on hand to sign up students afterward, and the future of classical music will look a lot brighter."

Come revel in the unique sound only five pianos can create with The 5 Browns at the McCallum Theatre.
