Ban Ki-moon is visiting EU headquarters in Brussels today at the start of his first overseas trip as UN secretary-general.
During his week-long, seven-nation tour, Ban also plans to attend a donor's conference in Paris on reconstruction aid for Lebanon and visit the International Court of Justice and Yugoslav war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
But Africa will be the primary focus of the trip, with stops in the Congo, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
