City Of Indian Wells Hosts Free Community Day

The City of Indian Wells has made it possible for any member of the community to experience the Palm Springs Art Museum! Thanks to an Indian Wells contribution, the Museum will be completely free to all visitors during normal business hours on Thursday, January 25, 2007 from noon to 8 p.m.

Guests may enjoy the current exhibition, also sponsored exclusively by the City of Indian Wells, titled Roy Lichtenstein Prints 1956-97 from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation. This landmark exhibition features nearly 100 prints that span Lichtenstein's career-from his first proto-Pop image in 1956 to a print made shortly before his death in 1997.

"The City of Indian Wells is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of people of all ages and all walks of life by providing as much access as possible to local initiatives that support the arts and culture," says Indian Wells Mayor Rob Bernheimer. "By offering a complimentary day of admission to the Museum, we hope valley residents will take advantage of the impressive programs and exhibitions that this exceptional art museum offers year-round." -- www.psmuseum.org
