The titles is intriguing is it not? But the program that the Catholic church has initiated in Baltimore is the opposite of what you think. 21 weapons bought in gun buyback program.
21 guns were turned in for cash in a gun buyback program at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in West Baltimore on, September 12. The program was co-sponsored by the Catholic Review newspaper and paid participants $50 for handguns and $100 for automatic weapons.
A total of $1,000 was paid for the weapons. Baltimore's murder rate ranks among the highest in the nation.
