All three wines being showcased earned medals in the 2009 International Eastern Wine Competition and boast unique tastes that are the perfect complement to each course.
While guests indulge in flavors of fall and enjoy an unmatched view of the Washington, D.C. skyline, special guests Mike McGarry, Sugarloaf owner, Carl DiManno, Sugarloaf winemaker and Lucie Morton, a locally-based, internationally renowned viticulturist, will be discussing the essence of each wine, exploring the qualities of the individual flavors and explaining how they complement the dishes being served.
The wines are all produced on site at Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, which is located in the hills of Comus, Maryland in Montgomery County. It encompasses a 92-acre stretch of land and is renowned for producing fine Bordeaux-style wines.
