Twitter has announced a lists function: If you have a Twitter account, you can create a list that will have its own URL including your Twitter username. Lists by default are public although they can be made private. And the Internet has been buzzing with speculation as to how best to use this lists function, while third-party applications are gearing up to incorporate this function.
Google has announced the Google Social Search: Through Google Labs at google.com/experimental/ you can add a social search to your Google search web options. Then when you search for something -- besides getting the organic searches you’ll get tweets, blog posts, etc. on the search term from your social circle (which Google establishes for you based on pulling in information from various places including your Twitter account).
Amazon has announced the feature Share on Twitter for Amazon’s associates: When you are signed into your Amazon account and are on any detail page, you can click on this button and an automatic message will populate your Twitter update box with your associate ID built in. (You have to click the update yourself.)
I’ve tried all three new features and they all appear to be worthwhile. The only question is: How to find time to utilize all these new features? Now if only someone could roll out a function that solves this problem of not enough time.
