In the season premiere of The Office, rumors about the summer interns lead to Michael discovering that gossip is a new way to make him the center of attention. The down side for everyone else? Most of the gossip is not true. Moreover, the things that are true are the most damaging. The gossip-mongering leads to a big reveal for the Dunder Mifflinites, including one who begins a close look at his sexuality.
Tonight's season premiere of The Office also follows up on last season's finale: Pam (Jenna Fischer), who is engaged to Jim (John Krasinski), is pregnant. If you've kept up on the internet, you'll see that the big secret has been spread around the internet recently: the October 8 episode involves a wedding.
It should be another great season for The Office. Several of the story lines will go off in many clever directions. Ed Helms, who plays Andy, gets a particularly good sub-plot this season. There is also a brand new receptionist at The Office. Ellie Kemper, is the 29-year-old actress who plays Erin Hannon. With Pam (Jenna Fischer) bumped up to a full-time sales position, her full-time replacement is busier than ever at Dunder Mifflin, but she will find time for an office romance with Andy Bernard (Ed Helms).
Tune into The Office season premiere tonight at 9pm EST on NBC.
