The 61st Primetime Emmy Awards hosted by Neil Patrick Harris started out on the infamous red carpet with stars showing off their glamorous fashions for all to see. It's a night of beautiful people, beautiful jewelry and fashions from designers around the world.
The Emmy Awards are always highlighted by the red carpet fashions each year and many people watch just to see what the stars are wearing.
Who is bringing on the glam tonight at the Emmy Awards with great fashions, jewelry and accessories?
Olivia Wilde was one hot number tonight at the 2009 Emmy Awards with her stunning rwhite, backless dress with a sexy cutout that cascaded down the front center of her utterly perfect body.
Chloe Sevigny showed off her LANA MARKS Cleopatra Clutch on the 2009 Emmy Awards Red Carpet. Ms. Sevigny's LANA MARKS Cleopatra Clutch was customized especially with a detachable silver shoulder strap to match the handbag's silver hardware.
Christina Applegate didn't take home an Emmy but her gown was worthy of an award. She wore a midnight blue Basil Soda gown and the unique
color was perfect for a night of stars.
Heidi Klum doesn't look bad in anything and it rang true on the red carpet -- even in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Heidi Klum wore a fitted, strapless black gown by Marcesa. Gorgeous antique-look earrings made her outfit even more stunning.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus is a funny woman but always a class act. She wore a strapless, dark turquoise Vera Wang dress. Gathered material and a black waistline made her a stunner on the red carpet.
Jennifer Love Hewitt never disappoints. Tonight she looked stunning as usual at the 2009 Emmy Aawards. Jennifer Love Hewitt wore a soft yellow, figure-enhancing floor-length dress. Her sparkly silver clutch made her Emmy attire top notch.
Sandra Oh,of Grey's Anatomy,wore a gold Marchesa dress and lutch, Jimmy Choo “Clue” platform shoes, yellow gold teardrop diamond earrings by Tacori and David Yurman ring. She looked like an Emmy Award statue...only better.
Even host Neil Patrick Harris pulled off a fashion hit with his white tuxedo. It had a retro feel to it and he came on stage at the 2009 Emmy Awards singing a Las Vegas-style opening number. Confident and cool, he brought style to the stage.
For as many great fashions on the red carpet at the 2009 Emmy Awards, there were also some that should have stayed hanging in the closet. I'll be writing about the fashion failures as the evening continues.
