The Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien was taken to the hospital yesterday after he suffered an injury while taping the show. A repeat instead of a new show was broadcast on Friday night after O'Brien apparently his his head while performing a stunt on the set of The Tonight Show.

It is not known whether or not Conan O'Brien has been released from the hospital or not. According to Insider.com, the 46-year-old O'Brien was examined at a hospital. NBC didn't immediately comment on his condition.

Conan O'Brien became the host of The Tonight Show on June 1, 2009, replacing Jay Leno. Will Ferrell became Conan's first guest on the couch, and Pearl Jam appeared as the first musical guest with O'Brien as host.

NBC only issued a brief statement saying only that Mr. O’Brien had “hit his head doing a stunt and the show was not finished.”

NBC also released a statement attributed to Mr. O’Brien, which said, “Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice.”

A representative for NBC reported Conan hit his head doing a stunt. Fortunately, the late-night host was able to laugh about the incident afterward.

"Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln, and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice," Conan joked.
