Halo 3: ODST was on the store shelves this week and tops the list for video game sales. While many gamers anticipated the release of Halo 3: ODST, no one expected problems with it. The Bungie website forums have had their fair share of comments about problems with Halo 3: ODST since its release Tuesday.

According to Bungie's official website, 975,581 gamers have already signed into Halo 3: ODST. Many of the people have also been logging into the forums to report a "disc read error" that is happening for many gamers trying to use the new game.

The disc is unreadable on many Xbox360 consoles, either skipping or showing "the disc is unreadable" on-screen. This is despite the disc being brand new.

Those posting on the Bungie forums claim that the problem does not happen with other games. It originally looked like only early Xbox 360's suffered from the problem, but later consoles from 2008 and 2009 have also been added into the mix.

Halo 3: ODST is said to have sold almost two million copies on the first day, according to VGChartz. If anyone who invested $60 in this game is having problems with it, please send information about the problem you are experiencing to Test Ninja Alpha on the Bunji forums so that the problem can be pinpointed.
