The Garmin Nuvi 850 comes ready to go and is preloaded with City Navigator NT street maps and millions of points of interest such as hotels, restaurants, fuel stations, ATMs and more. Speak a menu option or touch the color screen to enter a destination, and Nuvi takes you there with 2-D or 3-D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions.
This GPS has the much desired slim design so it fits in your pocket. Teh Garmin Nuvi 850 has text-to-speech for spoken directions with real street names, MP3 player, and photo viewer. Amazon reviews show that users are very satisfied with the Nuvi 850, with the average rating at four out of five stars.
Bells and whistles? Yes. Aside from getting you where you need to go, the Garmin Nuvi 850 has a load of features that are more fun than function. Aside from the MP3 player, it has an audio book player, JPEG picture viewer, currency converters, Garmin Games, and alarm clock. The Gamin Nuvi 850 might not have every single feature that it's more expensive GPS family has, but is there something else you need aside from the wealth of Nuvi 850 features already offered? Probably not.
