ESPN Fantasy Football Login Problems Upset Users

Two weeks ago, NFL Fieldpass was unavailable to users for hours on the premiere weekend in NFL football. Today, ESPN has login problems with its Fantasy Football site. Traffic was apparently overloading the site and users were being fairly vocal about their frustrations.

The ESPN Fantasy Football site has been down for several hours with no clear indication when it will be back up. Only a notice in fine print letting users know that the site is down.

"The page you have requested is currently unavailable. Please click back and try again. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."

Fantasy football is a fantasy sports game in which participants (called "owners") are arranged into a league. The person who creates the league is called the commissioner, and that person invites other owners into his/her league. Each team drafts or acquires via auction a team of real-life American football players and then scores points based on those players' statistical on-the-field performances.

ESPN Fantasy Football fans weren't too happy about not being able to log in to the site. Twitter was buzzing with negative talk about the extensive down time. Amazing. It was as if they could not get access to their bank account. Yes. That serious.

#ESPN's iPhone #fantasy football app ain't working. Come on guys. What's the deal????

ESPN.com sucks. I can't even logged into my #fantasyfootball

Hey How am I supposed to check to see my fantasy football when ESPN site is down man?

Obviously, many of these ESPN Fantasy Football users could use the downtime wisely and take some grammar lessons. As of 5pm EST, some users reported the ability to log in to the ESPN Fantasy Football site.
