Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show host who was just in the news a few weeks ago, has been barred from using Newark Airport after he insulted the city in a joke on his show. "The Tonight Show" host made a crack about New Jersey's largest city last week and the mayor was not pleased and he's broadcasting his opposition to O'Brien's comment on YouTube.

Conan joked about the city of Newark on The Tonight Show. "The mayor of Newark, N.J. wants to set up a citywide program to improve residents' health. The health care program would consist of a bus ticket out of Newark."

Mayor Booker first tried to defend his city by proclaiming it "one of the fastest growing cities in the northeast ... We have strong neighborhoods, strong people, record reductions in violent crime, we have a city on the rise."

Then the mayor started asking residents of Newark how they felt about Conan O'Brien's comment on The Late Show. None of them were happy about O'Brien's snide remark.

"According to the powers invested in me by the people of the city of Newark, I'm officially putting you on the Newark, New Jersey Airport 'no fly' list," Booker said, then taking another jab at the red-headed funny man: "Try JFK, buddy."

Conan O'Brien's reaction? He just kept up with his brand of humor. He continued to make fun of the city of Newark on his show last night and then mentioned that he was also not allowed in Los Angeles' LAX Airport.

It's likely that the mayor can't stop a citizen from using the Newark Airport, so it may be just fabulous publicity for Conan O'Brien's ailing Late Show and the city of Newark, New Jersey.
