The Presidents Cup is in the hands of the United States as Tiger Woods clinched it with a 6 and 5 win over Y.E. Yang. With several more matches still left on the course, it is only a matter of how much the U.S. will win The Presidents Cup by. Because the Presidents Cup has been clinched, any remaining matches can now end it a tie.

Tiger Woods completed a perfect 5-0 week, his best ever in a Presidents Cup or Ryder Cup. Woods was quotes as saying, "He [Y.E. Yang]got me once and hopefully I can get him a second time. But he got off to a good start. He birdied the first and I made a mistake there, and from then on, I actually played pretty good. I hit a couple loose shots here and there, but I really putted well, other than missing that putt over there at 12, that was about it." -- Tiger Woods

The Presidents Cup is a biennial golf tournament pitting world’s best non-European players against the U.S. in team match-play competition. The event includes 11 foursome matches, 11 four-ball matches and 12 singles matches.

It has been an interesting week at the Presidents Cup in San Francisco, California. Even Basketball superstar Michael Jordan factored into the news. Jordan served as an honorary assistant to U.S. captain Fred Couples at the Presidents Cup and wasn't big on following rules. He decided that it was perfectly fine to smoke cigars on the course even though he was told it was against course rules.

The 2009 Presidents Cup was held at Harding Park Golf Course from October 6-11. Today's wrap up of the Presidents Cup was an exciting one for the United States team. Only one player -- Tiger Woods -- will finish the week perfect after Steve Stricker lost a short time ago, 2 and 1, to Geoff Ogilvy.
