What is Mystery Google?

Why would anyone want to get someone else's search results? Plenty of people. Perhaps its good for those of us who are curious or just a fun way to spend a few minutes discovering what others are searching for on the web.

Mystery Google is simple to use. Type in something you want to search for and you will get a list of results for what people before you searched for. Why? Who knows. Maybe it's yet another way to be social. It makes for great conversation. Perhaps you'll learn something new about something you would never think to search for.

It's hard not to try this once you see the spooky background and "Mystery Google" logo. Search engine roulette, anyone?

For a sampling of what this search engine does, I entered in "ice cream" in Mystery Google. Obviously the person before me wasn't searching for ice cream -- my results came up with "bonjour" and a list of links from "Learn to Speak French" to a networking technology named "Bonjour". Never heard of that. So, I read more.

It worked! Mystery Google made me read more about a subject I never heard of. Who knew that 'bonjour' wasn't just a French word?

Give Mystery Google a try. There is no word on how long term this unusual search engine will be in operation. Maybe that is a mystery, too.
