
Video gaming fans who use the Sony PS3 but are looking for a system with a bigger hard drive will get their wish. On November 3, a new Sony PS3 system with a 250GB hard drive will hit the store shelves. It will have the same look and features as the 120GB PS3 but a larger capacity for games, shows, photos, music and PlayStation Network downloads.
This 250GB version of the Sony PS3 comes right in time for the holidays with a new lineup of software available. In there are 2,300 movies available to download from the PlayStation Network’s video delivery service, with a third of those movies available in full high-definition.
The new 250 gigabyte PS3 will be available November 3 for $349.99, giving consumers two PS3 versions to choose from. Sony's 120 GB PS3 sells for $299.99 following a recent price cut.
Sony is currently the No. 3 home console maker in the United States, behind Microsoft and Japan's Nintendo, maker of the Wii. Microsoft and Nintendo have also recently cut prices.
