The Dancing with the Stars cast work hard to try to avoid injuries while performing but it seems they can't prevent the flu from taking them off the dance floor. Dancers Lacey Schwimmer Derek Hough and Mark Ballas were all feeling the effects of the flu this week. While not confirmed to be the H1N1 Swine Flu virus, the three Dancing with the Stars performers were definitely feeling dismal.

Derek Hough, who got sick and had to drop out of Monday's performance said he's not 100 percent better yet. He told People magazine that he had a 105 fever after rehearsal and "My whole bed was drenched because I sweated so much. I had to sleep in the bathtub. I've been sick a thousand times but something was different about this -- I literally couldn't walk or move but I eventually went to the doctor and got some IVs in my arm because I was so dehydrated."

Dancing pro Mark Ballas got sick at the same time as his friend, Derek Hough. He was sure to wear a mask during his practice with Melissa Joan Hart. Lacey Schwimmer also experienced flu symptoms and loaded up on vitamin C.

The cast has not been given flu shots as a group and there does not seem to be any widespread panic on the set of Dancing with the Stars. Aaron Carter mentioned to People magazine that he was a chronic hand washer which is something everyone should adhere to with the rapid spread of the seasonal flu and the H1N1 Swine Flu virus.
