Burglars Use Permanent Markers as Disguise

Two men who attempted to break into an apartment in Carroll, Iowa made sure they would get caught. In fact, they now have a permanent disguise -- they used permanent markers on their faces to disguise themselves. These marked up criminal masterminds now have permanent disguises just in time for Halloween.

Police said the caller described two males with painted faces and wearing black hooded sweatshirts attempting to enter an apartment at 11:32 p.m. The caller then said the suspects drove off in a large white car.

Police had no trouble identifying two men accused of trying to break into the apartment. Inside the car, officers found two men with their faces blackened with permanent marker. Police said the caller described two men with painted faces attempting to break into an apartment Friday night before driving off.

Each man was charged with second-degree attempted burglary. McNelly was also charged with driving while intoxicated. No word on if that permanent marker will ever wash up, but perhaps that's punishment enough.
