Oprah Unveils Favorite Holiday Gift Ideas

Oprah Winfrey's Favorite Things television episode is the most watched episode each year of The Oprah Winfrey Show. The episode has traditionally been aired around Thanksgiving and the 2009 Oprah's Favorite Things episode has still not been announced. Oprah has, however, been revealing some of her favorite things on her 2009 shows that might be on your holiday gift list.

On the Oprah's Favorite Things segment, which is typically aired during the holiday season, Winfrey shares products with her audience that she feels are noteworthy or that would make a great gift. In addition, the audience members present during the taping of the episode receive items from that year’s list for free.

Producers do not announce when the special episode will be taped and the audience members of these episodes are commonly selected based on a specific characteristics. This means tickets can be difficult to obtain.

So far in 2009, Oprah has been revealing some of her favorite things, although they may be quite different than what is on her 2009 Favorite Things show in November.

The 2009 Oprah Winfrey Favorite Things show is coming up soon. Last year there Oprah featured "How to Have the Thriftiest Holiday Ever" and didn't feature lavish gifts. With yet another difficult year for many, it will be interesting to see what Oprah Winfrey comes up with for the 2009 list.
