NYC.gov Gives Away 500 NY Yankee Parade Tickets

The New York Yankees will celebrate with the public on Friday, November 7 at 11am and the NYC.gov site gave away 500 tickets to some very lucky fans. Mayor Michael Bloomberg will present keys to the city to the Yankees at the ceremony, which begins Friday at 1 p.m. after the ticker-tape parade.

The New York Yankees won the World Series 2009 Wednesday night with a 7 to 3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. New York City will be buzzing with Yankees fans Friday morning when the winners of the World Series parade through the streets of NYC to honor New York Yankees, who won their 27th World Series title on Wednesday night.

New York Yankee fans 18 years and older were able to enter to win the tickets on the NYC.gov site. The site had offered 500 tickets to the ceremony at which Bloomberg gives the keys to the city to the Yankees. That ceremony is at 1 pm. The ticket offer had run from 2 pm to 4 pm Thursday.

Please be cautious of anyone trying to sell tickets to the event. These tickets were given away at no charge and there are no more tickets available to the public. Do not purchase tickets as they will likely be fraudulent and won't get you into the New York Yankees World Series ceremony.
