Orlando Gunman Jason Rodriguez Captured by Police

Police in Orlando say that Orlando gunman Jason Rodrigues has been captured after killing at least one person and injuring five others at a downtown office building where worked two years ago.

Police Chief Val Demings reported that Jason Rodriguez, 40, surrendered to police at his mother's home after officers saw him through a window and asked him to come out.

Police spokeswoman Barbara Jones stated that at least five people were taken to a hospital and another had chest pains but did not go to the hospital. Orlando Regional Medical Center said four people were being treated in the emergency department.

She also confirmed witnesses told police the shooting started at Reynolds Smith & Hill, a transportation engineering consulting firm in the building.

Mike Bernoff, spokesperson for Reynolds, Smith & Hills,a consulting firm in the 16-story Legion Place Gateway Center,told ABCNews today that Rodriguez was a former transportation engineer who was terminated in June 2007 for performance issues.

The most recent information shows that one person has died and five are wounded after the shooting spree, which occurred on the eighth floor of a high-rise office building. Police have reported that all victims of the Orlando shooting were employees of one company.
