The word came straight from the President himself. Barack Obama does not use Twitter. He is a verified member of Twitter of and has 2.6 million followers but he doesn't tweet. Seems as if President Obama has pinch tweeter doing his tweeting for him.
On Sunday night, Obama spoke to a group of Chinese student at a town hall in Shanghai. The meeting was streamed live, worldwide on the Whitehouse website and on the Whitehouse's Facebook page.
President Obama was asked a limited amount of questions by the audience in Shanghai and one was about Twitter, which has been blocked in China since July.
Imagine asking a President about Twitter? George Washington could have never imagined this scenario.
Obama was asked by a student, "Do you know about the great firewall and should we be able to use Twitter?"
"I have never used Twitter but I'm an advocate of technology and not restricting internet access." Obama replied. (this via Breaking News Online)
The tweets on President Obama's Twitter account aren't that exciting but they give readers a sense of what's going on in the daily like of the President:

Welcome to the modern world of social media. The President can tweet to 2.6 million people without even using Twitter. No word on who President Obama's Twitter front man (or woman) is, but it would be really great to give President Obama some Twitter lessons for Christmas to see what he's really thinking about.
