Sarah Palin's interview with Oprah Winfrey was aired on November 16, the day before her book, "Going Rogue: An American Life" releases. She kindly invited Levi Johnston (father of Palin's daughter Bristol) to Thanksgiving dinner during her conversation with Oprah. She also mentioned that she was concerned about Levi.
"He's a teenager. I don't think he realizes quite yet what it is that he is being handled and orchestrated around -- for him to be participating in this," Sarah Palin told Oprah.
She referred to his Playgirl deal as "porn" and that got Levi Johnston's manager, who doubles as his bodyguard, just a little agitated.
"She was making fun of him in her own little way. She was being sarcastic. We don't take anything she said seriously. She has an opportunity right then to end this whole thing. But she wants to keep it going, then fine."
As far as the accusation of "porn," Jones prefers the word "art" to describe Johnston's photo shoot.
Levi Johnston, the boy from Alaska turned Playgirl "art" star claims that Sarah Palin is "full of it". He seems to forget that this woman who was to be his mother-in-law and quite possibly the Vice President of the United States is the sole reason he now calls himself, "Ricky Hollywood".
That's right. Levi Johnston was just a nobody and now, thanks to Sarah Palin, he thinks he's someone big. Someone who refers to himself as "Ricky Hollywood" and really thinks he became famous on his own.
Levi Johnston, 19, is the oldest of two children born to Sherry and Keith Johnston in Wasilla, Alaska. Johnston attended Wasilla High School and he dropped out of high school to take a job on the North Slope oil fields as an apprentice electrician. In January 2009, Johnston quit his job.
It sounds as if Levi Johnston is the one who is full of it. Although Sarah Palin isn't known as the most eloquent of speakers with all her "Palin-isms", her education in journalism at least got her a book deal. For Johnston, his claim to fame is a Playgirl spread with Johnston posing in the buff with a hockey stick.
Palin's book was already a best-selling book on the shopping sites of Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble, a month and a half prior to the November 17 release date. Chances are, the January issue of Playgirl with Johnston showing off his assets will appeal to some, but will it really rocket him into stardom?
He's already receiving prestigious awards. He received a classy "Fleshbot" award in New York City on November. A Fleshbot award is basically a porn award given for “sexy achievements” in pop culture. Apparently, Levi Johnston’s Fleshbot Award is for his upcoming Playgirl shoot.
Levi Johnston claiming that Sarah Palin is "full of it" comes from someone with an eye for quality people. At the Fleshbot event, the 19-year-old father of Sarah Palin’s grandchild gave high praise to reality TV dad Jon Gosselin.
Johnston told People Magazine, “He’s a good guy. He’s kind of in the same situation I am right now. He’s a good dad and he gets a lot of bad press. He’s getting the same bad image as I am and it ain’t true. I can relate to that.”
It "ain't true". Now there are some words that speak volumes about this rising star who calls himself "Ricky Hollywood". There is no doubt that Sarah Palin is being overly gracious inviting Levi "Ricky Hollywood" Johnston over for Thanksgiving dinner. After all, he is just a nobody.
